The Area Sampling Framework (KSA) is a data collection method using technology to produce more accurate, objective and real time estimated data on the harvested area of rice and crops. Data from KSA Paddy will be used as the basis for selecting tile survey samples which will later obtain food crop productivity data needed in calculating food crop production figures.

On Wednesday-Thursday, January 18-19, 2023 BPS Way Kanan District conducted training for Sampling Area Framework (KSA) officers. This training was divided into 2 sessions, namely the first session on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 for Rice KSA training at the Al-Haadii Syariah Hotel Baradatu, and Thursday, January 19, 2023 for Corn KSA training at the Almer Syariah Baradatu Hotel.

The activity began with the opening by Mr. Haris Sugara, S.E. representing the Head of BPS Way Kanan Regency, Mr. Eko Purnomo, S.ST., M.M because he was unable to attend, then continued with the presentation of material which was also delivered by Mr. Haris Sugara, S.E. Then in the afternoon they practiced the application of KSA on rice and corn plantations in Baradatu District.

It is hoped that participants in this training can understand the material presented by regional instructors well so that data collection can run smoothly, on time and with quality.
