Coordination of Desa Cantik Development in 2025 by BPS Way Kanan

As a form of commitment in supporting the strengthening of statistical data at the village level, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Way Kanan Regency carried out tiered coordination in the context of fostering the Village Love Statistics (Desa Cantik) Program in 2025.

Initial coordination was carried out with the Way Kanan District Community and Village Empowerment Office (Dinas PMK) on Monday, May 19, 2025. This meeting aims to convey the aims and objectives of the implementation of Desa Cantik coaching as well as to request support from the relevant agencies so that this program can run smoothly and in line with regional policies in terms of village empowerment.

Furthermore, on May 20, 2025, BPS Way Kanan continued coordination activities to the sub-district and target village levels, namely with the Blambangan Umpu Sub-district and Lembasung Village Government. On this occasion, an explanation was given regarding the general description of the program implementation, the scope of coaching activities, and expectations of cooperation from all parties.

For 2025, there are seven villages that are targeted for Desa Cantik development. Six villages are a continuation of the coaching that has been ongoing until 2024, while one additional village this year is Lembasung Village, located in Blambangan Umpu Sub-district.

With this tiered coordination, it is hoped that the implementation of the Desa Cantik program in Way Kanan Regency can run effectively and make a real contribution in improving the literacy and quality of statistical data management at the village level.
