The National Socioeconomic Survey (Susenas) is a survey activity conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) to collect information related to social, economic and population conditions in an area. Examples of indicators generated from Susenas are the Poverty Rate and Human Development Index (IPM).
Susenas data
results are always eagerly awaited by various groups because they contain
important information regarding various development targets which are often
used as the basis for planning, monitoring, evaluating related to the social
and economic conditions of the community.
The implementation of this year's Susenas is different from previous years because this year is the first time that integration has taken place between Susenas and Seruti. Seruti (Quarterly Household Economic Survey) is a household-based survey that is integrated with three surveys namely the National Socioeconomic Survey (Susenas), the Special Quarterly Household Consumption Survey (SKKRT), and the Special Survey on Household Savings and Investment (SKTIR) which aims to to reduce duplication of activities and increase efficiency, as well as produce higher quality household economic statistical data.
